Dr. Castleman was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She’s had a love for animals for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she had a wide variety of animals as pets including spending a lot of time around cattle through her family’s hobby ranch.

Dr. Castleman received her Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from Texas A&M. Throughout her senior year of high school and her undergraduate career, she has worked at all levels of employment at an animal hospital which caused her to fall more in love with this field.

Dr. Castleman attended Auburn University for veterinary school and graduated with honors. Her professional interests are mainly urgent care/emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. However, she enjoys getting to practice preventive medicine as well.

In Dr. Castleman’s free time, she can be found spending as much time outside, tending to her plants or playing with her two German Shepherd/husky mixes (Khal and Zara). Otherwise, she’ll be found snuggling her cat, Lola who she swears is her soulmate. Dr. Castleman is very excited to join the Paz family!
