I grew up in San Jose, California and was told if I moved to Texas I would be riding a horse to school everyday. It’s been a little over 2 decades residing here in Austin and I love it, even if I never got that horse.
Growing up as a first generation American, I was taught to work hard for what I wanted. If I can walk and talk, I can work. I was also told no pets for majority of my childhood and boy did that suppress passion continue to grow. When I was finally on my own, I grew a zoo in my home. I’ve had snakes, lizards, rats, cats, turtles, fish, axolotls but my most favorite are my dogs!
My passion for my dogs wanted me to do anything I could for them. I worked at a local pet store to learn about products, took countless training classes to understand them, and now I’m continuing to learn vet med to maintain their healthy lifestyles.
My career was art related but I took a “what if” shot at applying to Emancipet thinking my chances were slim. I wanted any escape from restaurant or retail management. I started my vet med career being trained with no experience at Emancipet in 2018. I learned so much but wanted to keep growing. That’s when I joined Paz!
I still enjoy art at a hobby and work with all materials! TV is also a big part of my life and you’ll probably catch me wearing a shirt with some of my favorite movies or shows. If I’m not home, I might be at a local brewery or at Come And Take It Live. Come by, say hi, and let’s chat about aliens and spooky things!
